Our Location
Newaygo County Mental Health is located in White Cloud, Michigan, known as “Where the North Begins and the Pure Waters Flow.” Our office is approximately 50 minutes north of Grand Rapids and Muskegon, 30 minutes from Big Rapids, and just over one hour from Ludington.
Our Focus
We are committed to meeting the challenges of 21st-century behavioral health care. Newaygo County Mental Health provides comprehensive services for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with severe emotional disturbances, and adults with mental illness and substance use disorders.
Our primary focus is improving wellness and recovery for individuals most in need through prevention, wellness, and recovery programs delivered using person-centered, family-centered, integrated care.
Professional Development and Support
We recognize that clinicians need strong support and training in evidence-based practices to be successful and confident in their roles.
Newaygo County Mental Health provides:
- Paid training for certification in evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification
- On-site licensure supervision to support professional growth
- Intensive clinical supervision with experienced and knowledgeable supervisors familiar with the community mental health system
